Love me some Penny Black! **contest closed**

Okay, so the cat is out of the bag! :) I am so happy to have joined the creative family at Penny Black stamps. They have embraced my quirky style and are some of the kindest people I've ever worked with. It was a mad dash to release these six stamp sets at CHA Winter this month, but they made it happen (thank you Shaida!), and here they are, along with a link to ordering:

April Showers
(those little clouds coordinate with the clouds in the
PageMaps Whimsy dies by Spellbinders)

Address Book
(coordinates with the new PageMaps rolodex dies by Spellbinders)

(coordinates with the new PageMaps charm dies by Spellbinders)

And here are some fantastic card samples created by my good friend, Julie Koerber. Thanks, Julie!

Along with an adorable card by Jill Foster

And another cutie by CathyAndronicou

So there you have it -- my first release with Penny Black. :) Are you wondering why I didn't make any card samples? I have no doubt that is the first thing that my friend, Marla Kress, will ask when she sees this post! Fact is I work too darn much to stamp and make cards. Sad, huh? But I'm happy to report that I am taking this weekend off and will bust out my big girl crayons and make some, too. :)

How would you like to win a set of all six stamps!? Just post here an idea you'd like to see in a future stamp set. We'll draw a random winner next Monday. And who knows, maybe your idea will be a new stamp set this year, you just never know!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing this new venture with me!

Becky

  42. Reposted due to spelling mistake. Sorry!

I saw these cards earlier today over at Penny Black blog and I was stunned by their beauty than and I still sit in awe of them now. Truly stunning. I so love your stamp designs and can't wait to see what else you come up with. I am a cardmaker, but also, a scrapbooker at times and I love to use stamps on my layouts. So finding stamps that will do twice the work can be difficult at times, like sayings or block letters. I have a boy and doing pages for him can be fun but could be so much better if I had stamps to create some texture and depth to background designs. Such has having stamps that have a grunge style, or an etching design. Designs that focus on things like a Chess game with board stamp and larger stamps of each piece, maybe even stamps of board games like Scrabble. Everything is all about video games and social media, but what about the games that were fun before these things took over, not that it is all bad. Maybe even designs for little boys, like building blocks, lego, images of those toys like we had when we were little, like that pull phone toy that eveyone 40 and older remembers and for those who don't, the phone from the Toy Story Movie. You could even design different eye motions has stamps to place on the phone front.Lol. And these stamps would be amazing for all those masculine cards that I wish I could make but seem to butt my head against the wall over. So yes there are loads of ideas in my head. Sorry to do overkill on this, but there are so many stamps in my head that are not out their for us to use in our creations. Maybe you can use one of these ones stated here.

Also, stuff for Project Life - index or journaling cards that look like a library card or a menu. Owls, birds, mushrooms and garden gnomes are always a good thing. If you go with mushrooms, you could always include the saying "I'm a fungi" - dh has a shirt that says that and I love it! Ok, so I think that's more than one idea. Lol! Thanks for the chance to win!

  142. Beautiful stamps, Becky.. I love that they are all so adorable and do usable! You have a definite style that makes your stamps stand out.. and I love it! My ideas would be your take on grandparenting and tea parties, mothers and fathers.. I think you would do an amazing job on those! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  144. Love the cupcakes and stand set!!! Well who am I kidding, I love them all!! I would love to see some more masculine stamps for the men in our lives and not necessarily cutesy ones. I am always on the lookout for stamps I can use to make cards and layouts for my husband.

  146. My suggestion would be more boy themed items. I have three sons and never have enough boy themes The other thing I need is more sayings for cards.
